Dear Parents,

Swallows and Amazons Early Learning Centre is dedicated to providing a range of diverse and creative learning opportunities within a happy, safe and welcoming environment. We believe that Parents are a child’s first teachers, and that children are most successful at school when there is a strong partnership between home and school. We look forward to developing and continuing this strong home-school bond with you over the next few years.

Play and children’s predisposition to wonder lead logically into an inquiry-based approach to learning, where academic understanding develop hand in hand with a full range of social, emotional, creative and physical skills. Through purposeful play, we aim to provide sound educational foundations for learning and emotional health. We believe that by developing appropriate skills, attitudes, values and behaviours, we will prepare children to become well-rounded citizens and lifelong learners.

As part of our move towards increased administrative efficiency, you will see teachers and teaching assistants using iPads during class time. Please rest assured that this is for taking photos, recording attendance, examples of the children’s work and their progress.
